Sikelela Progress Update

The Sikelela Board met on the 27 th. of March. We are making steady progress with the alienation of land to meet SANDF Simons Town and veteran needs. Regarding government land, we now have a parcel of erven that may cater 2000 homes in the Western Cape. These have been submitted to the central government for consideration by the relevant Minister who provided in-principle support for the initiative. A standing committee will now be formed with Armscor and Sikelela.Africa to address the technical matters relating to land alienation with the relevant government stakeholders. Thereafter we hope to achieve title to land and will commence the process of subdivision and rezoning. Similarly, we are working with the regional government to acquire suitable parcels of land. Progress is slow, which is the nature of these things, but we are confident we will steadily achieve our goals. For more detailed information please contact Majozi on 0606279324.
